Position Title: Event Staff

Pay for Argus Event Staffing Ushers working events at DPAC will be $10 per hour. Opportunities for advancement will be available for any Usher with the desire to move up within our organization.

Argus Event Staffing also provides work opportunities at various concert and sporting venues like Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Fiddler's Green, Pepsi Center, Red Rocks, Coors Field and many others. If you are hired as an Usher for Argus Event Staffing at DPAC, you will have the opportunity to work our other venues in the Denver metro area. Pay rates for Team Members at other venues will vary from DPAC.

As an Usher, you must be capable of performing the essential functions of the position assigned. These include but are not limited to:

-Provide assistance to patrons of the Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre, the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, and Boettcher Concert Hall

-Help patrons find their seats in client venue

-Provide response instructions during emergency situations

-Assist patrons with disabilities in client venues

-Distribute and educate patrons on how to use assistive listening devices

-Communicate event-specific information and policies

-Prepare and distribute event/show programs

-Responsible for enforcing venue policies while working closely with other Argus and client employees to ensure proper guest entertainment experience

-Proactively communicate with all levels and work collaboratively with Corporate Argus; Human Resources, Accounting, Operations etc.

 

Work Requirements:

-High school diploma or GED and/or equivalent work experience

-Contributes to maintaining the integrity of the organization, displays high standards of ethical conduct, understands the impact of violating these standards on an organization, self, and others, and is trustworthy

-Deals calmly and effectively with high stress situations (i.e. hostile individuals, emergency situations, dangerous situations)

-Must be able to respond to change in a positive and productive way

-Must exhibit an emphasis on customer service

-Demonstrate organization and attention to small yet critical details

-Ability to handle multiple tasks

 

Physical Requirements:

-Must be able to move in a quick, energetic manner

-Must be able to access all areas of the venue utilizing stairs

-Long periods of standing and constant movement around event area is expected on event days

-Must be able to work in limited lighting.

-Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions of the position with or without accommodation. (Standing, walking, speaking over radio, etc.)

-Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

-Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
